Welcome
As you're probably aware, my father, Bill Johnson Sr., was involved in a serious plane crash on the day after US Thanksgiving at the Shanghai Pudong Airport. So far, my mother, Suzanne, one of my sisters, Jennifer, and I have travelled to China to be with him.
Depending on the progress of his recovery, Dad may remain in China (he's in Hong Kong now) for weeks or, maybe, months more. Mom will remain with him there as long as she can. If I understand correctly, Jennifer is planning to return home to Minnesota late in the week of December 6th. In order to keep a vigil with Dad and Mom and ensure Dad receives the best possible medical care, our family is making a schedule for us to travel there one-at-a-time.
My brother, sisters and I will attempt to fill the visitor schedule on our own. If that's not possible, we'll ask other relatives and family friends to assist. Many have already volunteered to assist in this manner and our dear family friends, John and Mary Schommer, are planning to travel to Hong Kong soon.
As you can imagine, the cost of flights to and from Asia can be high. Also, other travel-related expenses may mount, such as lodging, food and ground transportation.
Please consider making a donation to offset travel expenses to be with my Dad and Mom in Hong Kong during my Dad's recovery. You know we'd never ask for this type of assistance if we weren't in this type of situation. Also, many people have asked how they can assist, so here's your chance.
Any donated funds left over upon my Dad's return to Minnesota will be donated to the Minnetonka LifeCare Center (http://www.minnetonkalifecare.org/).
May God bless you all and we appreciate your support!
- Bill Johnson Jr.
